Does history matter? Explain

Yes. History does matter. Like I mentioned in my last blog, history has made everything what it is today. Without history, everything that exists is nothing. History is a part of life. History has a lot of meaning, and some people say, "History repeats itself". So maybe something similar in the past will happen in our future. It is important to know what has made you, the world, or us what we are today because it might make today make more sense.  For example, I don't understand why I live in Florida. How did I end up here? If I look in to my history I can figure that out things as simple as why I live in Florida to big things like why is the United States so powerful or respected. History makes up everything from people and places, to events and attitudes, therefore history DOES matter.
