I have recently investigated the Wiki Leaks dilemma, the debate upon if these classified documents should be released or not to the public. Although these documents might appear to put the government in a situation where their powerful reputation is disrupted, there is debate weather or not the public should even know of these documents let alone view and/or have access to them. Is the government only trying to protect the public or save their reputation on their judgment.
Is it the ruthlessness of our military that makes us powerful? A side of the U.S military had been concealed and kept away from the public due to reputation reasons. But do the people and the world deserve to know? I believe knowing of what is really going on to a specific extent is necessary, but putting out these videos is completely unnecessary. These documents are real live footage of people being killed. When someone opens the file they may not know what to expect upon viewing one of these videos.Perhaps the harshness and lack of mercy and caution is what makes our military so powerful. After all The United States does have the strongest military. If a threat is ever presented protocol will be administered and fulfilled. And maybe sometimes there was no real threat at all but if there is suspicion you better count on the U.S military to take action. With out a doubt we will.
Some people blow this issue in to proportion and put forth their own assumptions give or take. The access to these videos is an issue even though it is proof. But if the government would be willing to disclose this information there would be no problem.
